Catherine “Cat” Youngblood, PLMHP, PMSW

Cat Youngblood is a compassionate and dedicated mental health therapist who works with individuals and families across the lifespan. She is a Provisional Licensed Mental Health Practitioner and Provisional Certified Master Social Worker in Nebraska, with a strong background in integrated behavioral healthcare, trauma-informed care, and community-based services.

Cat provides individual and family therapy and has experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of mental health concerns. She is especially passionate about whole-person care and believes in meeting people where they are, honoring their lived experiences, and helping them build practical tools for healing, resilience, and connection.

Her clinical approach is collaborative and client-centered, drawing from evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, motivational interviewing, sand tray therapy, and play-based interventions. Cat works closely with medical providers and care teams to ensure coordinated, integrated support when therapy is part of a larger treatment plan.

Cat has extensive experience in rural healthcare settings and understands the unique challenges and strengths of small and underserved communities. In addition to her clinical work, she has held leadership roles in behavioral health program development, chronic care management, and clinic operations, giving her a deep appreciation for both the clinical and practical sides of care.

She earned her Master of Social Work from Northern Arizona University, graduating with distinction, and completed her Bachelor of Social Work at the same institution. Her background also includes years of experience working with children and families, including foster care systems and early childhood settings, which informs her thoughtful, developmentally informed approach to therapy.

Outside of work, Cat enjoys reading, watching movies, cross-stitching, crocheting, spending time outdoors, and being with her family. She strives to create a welcoming, safe, and supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their therapeutic journey.
