Sam Hasan | CEO & Founder

Sam Hasan is a healthcare executive and behavioral health strategist with over a decade of experience transforming access to mental health care across Nebraska. As the state’s first Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) Project Director, Sam pioneered integrated care models that expanded accessibility, improved coordination, and delivered measurable outcomes for patients and families.

Driven by a passion for innovation and sustainability in mental health, Sam founded Nebraska Peace of Mind to create a practice that puts people first, where patients receive compassionate, evidence-based care and providers are supported by systems that allow them to thrive. His leadership blends clinical insight with expertise in practice management, revenue cycle strategy, and operational growth, ensuring care remains both high-quality and sustainable.

Sam continues to champion a future where mental health care is accessible, ethical, and innovative, raising the bar for how communities experience support and healing.

Tami J. Orton, PMHNP-BC, Chief Clinical Officer

Tami Orton is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of experience in mental health care and nursing leadership. She provides comprehensive psychiatric services across the lifespan, with a clinical focus on both pediatric and adult mental health. Tami is known for her thoughtful approach to psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive therapy, combining evidence-based care with genuine compassion.

Tami graduated with honors from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2020 with her Master of Science in Nursing. Her extensive background includes inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, dual diagnosis treatment, and telehealth services. She also served as a clinical instructor in mental health nursing at Union College, training the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Tami brings a strong clinical skill set and leadership experience to her role at Nebraska Peace of Mind. Her work has included developing psychiatric programs, creating policies, coordinating integrated care, and advancing access to care through telehealth innovation. Her ability to build trust, de-escalate crises, and advocate for holistic patient care is central to her practice.

Outside of her professional life, Tami enjoys spending time with her family, staying active, and continuing her education through psychiatric workshops and conferences. She is proud to provide a safe, supportive environment for her patients and is currently accepting new patients for psychiatric care.
