Elia Rivera, PLMHP, PCMSW
Elia Rivera’s journey into healthcare is rooted in a deep commitment to improving access to mental health services within the Latino community. Driven by a passion to challenge stigma and cultural misconceptions, Elia strives to provide compassionate, inclusive care that honors the cultural and linguistic backgrounds of her patients.
Elia’s therapeutic approach is centered on authenticity and respect. She believes patients are the experts of their own lives and focuses on building authentic connections through active listening and genuine engagement. Her goal is to empower individuals with knowledge, equipping them with educational tools to understand their mental health better and reminding them of their worth and resilience.
Outside of her clinical role, Elia is deeply involved in her community. She volunteers with local church initiatives and supports outreach efforts to families in mobile home communities. She understands that mental health cannot be separated from basic human needs and works to ensure her patients have access to critical resources such as food, shelter, and safety.
Elia brings a holistic, human-centered perspective to therapy. She blends evidence-based care with cultural sensitivity, always honoring each person’s readiness to share and heal. Inspired by the saying, “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning how to dance in the rain.” Elia’s care is never rushed—it's grounded in patience, trust, and timing.
In her time, Elia enjoys crafting and spending time outdoors, which reflects her commitment to self-care and balance. Professionally, she remains committed to lifelong learning and collaboration with other healthcare providers to support her clients in every aspect of their wellness journey.
Elia Rivera brings warmth, insight, and dedication to her work, making her a valued member of the Nebraska Peace of Mind team and a trusted ally to those she serves.
