Laura Poskochil, LMSW, LMHP
Adventurer at heart, therapist by trade, homebody by choice. Laura brings authenticity, warmth, and over a decade of experience to her work with individuals and families. With a Bachelor's in Psychology focused on cultural diversity and a Master's in Social Work, she has spent much of her career supporting young adults facing homelessness and families involved in the child welfare system.
At Nebraska Peace of Mind, Laura offers a flexible and collaborative therapeutic approach. She believes that growth doesn’t have to look one specific way and tailors each session to meet clients where they are, whether they prefer goal-oriented strategies or deeper emotional exploration.
Her work integrates evidence-based practices including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, somatic techniques, and mindfulness.
Laura’s passion lies in helping people reconnect with their values, navigate fear, and move toward lives that feel grounded, meaningful, and true to who they are.
